8 - 13 August 2011
Universitätszentrum Obergurgl, Obergurgl, Austria
The scientific scope of the proposed conference are the cosmogenic nuclides (CN) used in Earth Sciences; whether produced in-situ in rocks or produced in the atmosphere. It will cover the methodology and application of currently used in-situ produced CNs (3He, 10Be, 14C, 21Ne, 26Al, 36Cl, 53Mn); and CNs produced in the atmosphere (atmospheric CNs) that are preserved in ice and sedimentary records (10Be, 14C, 36Cl, 129I). Radiocarbon dating, utilizing decay of atmospheric cosmogenic 14C in organic matter or dissolved carbon dioxide in water, won’t be sought as core topic.
