Sustainable management of soil and groundwater under the pressure of soil pollution and soil contamination
The SNOWMAN project is one amongst more than 70 ERA-Nets run across the European Union and being funded by the 6. Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development of the European Commission. 15 of these are belonging to the Environment topic.
SNOWMAN understands itself as a network of European research funders and administrations providing the platform for soil and groundwater research bridging the gap between knowledge demand and supply.
The network consists of seven partner organisations from seven European Member States. SNOWMAN as an ERA-Net has worked out documents and a mechanism on how to realise the trans-national cooperation in research funding between the project's partner countries resulting in a coordinated call for research. It is the only ERA-Net dealing with the soil topic.
SNOWMAN launched its 2nd Call for research 12.01.09. Researchers aiming to submit a proposal to this call should download and carefully read the call documents: SNOWMAN's 2nd call for research 2009.
During the 13th meeting of the SNOWMAN Core Group, the consortium decided to prepare and launch a second trans-national call for research.
This second call of SNOWMAN will be opened between 12 January 2009 and 31 March 2009, 17:00h CET.
